“I like the flute, but how do I get good at it?”
“I always get so nervous when I perform…”
“I’d practice more if I had fun and interesting things to do.”
Trust me, I've been there too. Fortunately, I have answers.
Hi there! Drew Powell here. I’m your friendly neighborhood
I always thought there would be nothing that I loved as much as playing the flute. But when I started performing frequently, I still felt there was something missing, like there was more I could be doing to bring music to my community.
I decided to try teaching the flute, and I struck gold: teaching music was the part of my life that was missing. Years down the road, I can say that working with students like you is one of the most fulfilling parts of my profession.
I’ve worked with students as young as 5 and as old as “I may look 50 but I’m still 25 at heart.” In every single case, I’ve witnessed how private lessons not only tremendously improve musical ability, but they make students better people. Music study goes beyond learning notes and rhythms. You’ll learn discipline, teamwork, critical listening, time management, and so much more.
I’ve taught all around the nation, and no matter where I am, music lifts and strengthens people and communities.
So, are you ready to be a better musician and person?
